DJ Tira & Heavy-K Release New Single ‘Inkululeko’

DJ Tira and Heavy-K recently worked with Makhadzi, Zee Nxumalo, and Afro Brothers on their latest album, ‘Inkululeko’.

‘Inkululeko’ was inspired by the events of June 16, 1976. We are free, but we are still not free because those with the potential to improve our lives have a lot of work to do. Many South Africans may find this song relevant as they prepare to vote in municipal elections.

The Soweto revolt (also known as the Soweto riots) was a series of rallies and protests conducted by black schoolchildren in South Africa during apartheid that began on the morning of June 16, 1976.

About: Mthokozi Khathi (born August 24, 1976), also known as DJ Tira, is a South African DJ, record producer, and Kwaito performer from Durban. DJ Tira is a member of the team that discovered the Gqom music genre, which gained popularity around 2017. He is also the CEO of Afrotainment, which has consistently produced exceptional musicians throughout the years.
