Cassper Nyovest is pumped up and ready to provide what supporters desire. Following his sabbatical from producing songs and performing live, the rapper turned to X to say he is “back at work”.
The Hip-Hop legend had a banner year in 2023.

Nyovest went on the first of its type in South Africa, a joint tour with Nasty C dubbed the ‘African Throne World Tour’, released his seventh studio album, ‘Solomon’, and represented African music by participating in the Sprite Limelight 2023 Program.

About: Cassper Nyovest, a South African producer and songwriter, was born Refiloe Maele Phoolo in 1990. He grew up active in sports and school but had a passion for rapping by the age of twelve. By the age of 16, he had left out of school to pursue a career in music, and he struggled for a few years until being spotted by Motswako rapper HHP. The two developed a professional friendship, and Nyovest appeared on HHP’s record and then accompanied him on tour. Nyovest spent the following several years touring abroad, opening for some of hip-hop’s greatest artists and working on content for his debut solo album.

That album arrived in the form of 2014’s Tsholofelo, which was such a smash in South Africa that an enlarged Platinum Edition with extra tracks was produced barely a year later to satisfy Nyovest’s eager fan base. Following the success of Tsholofelo, Nyovest rose to stardom, delivering sold-out gigs for increasingly enormous audiences and receiving several industry accolades. In May 2017, he released his second proper album, Thuto.
